The Heroes of F Force describes the suffering of 3,600 Australian and 3.400 British prisoners of War who marched 360km at night through the jungle to the most isolated locality on the Burma/Thailand Railway where they encountered cholera.
Within eight months 2000 British and 1000 Australians had died.
This book records the dedicated services of the Medical officers, staff and volunteers who worked to contain the epidemic and secure better conditions. An honour roll is included in the book listing the 1000 Australian who died. The roll includes their name, number, rank, unit, place and date of death, age and where they originated from in Australia.
