A dramatic book of haunting photographs which tells the story of the small settlement of Mandurama, New South Wales, at the turn of the century.
Images of Australian pioneers - the loggers, settlers, shopkeepers, farmers, weddings, family groups, babies and children - were captured by a local photographer whose vast collection of glass plates survived and was eventually deposited at the National Library.
